Vineyards Country Club provides our Members and Clients with the highest standards in golf and country club services and amenities for our competitive private club marketplace. Founded in 1988, the award-winning 70K square foot clubhouse with comprehensive capital improvement plan underway, 18-hole Mark McCumber and 18-hole William Amick designed championship courses kept in exceptional condition, expertly stocked golf shop, separate tennis pro shop with 12 Har-Tru tennis courts lighted for night play, fitness center, new state-of-the-art wellness & lifestyle center under construction, resort style pool, upscale and casual dining, banquet and bar areas, and immaculately landscape facilities is all picturesquely situated at the Vineyards Community in Naples, Florida. This premier private club currently has close to 500 golf members along with over 500 sports/social members.

Position Summary:

Responsible for all food and beverage production and service for the club. Directly supervise the Executive Chef, Beverage Manager, Banquet Captain, Dining Room Manager and managers of all other club food & beverage outlets such as dining rooms, banquet spaces, bars, pubs, snack bars, etc. Plan and implement budgets, programming, and standard operating policy & procedures. Instill a positive culture based on performance success in accordance with the vision for our brand. Mentor, hire, train and supervise subordinates and apply relevant marketing principles to assure that the wants and needs of club members, guests and clients are consistently exceeded.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the overall performance attainment of the Food & Beverage Department at Vineyards Country Club
  • Develops an annual operating budget for each of the department’s revenue outlets; after approval, monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget and performance goals are attained
  • Establishes and assures that all standard operating procedures for heightened levels of service, product, revenue and expense efficiencies are in place and consistently utilized
  • Orchestrates development of all menus, recipe guides, ordering guides, service guides and best practices for outstanding food quality that benefits our clientele
  • Achieves effective performance of the department in exceeding the needs of our banquet clients, as provided for in the inter-departmental communications from the Catering Director
  • Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented
  • Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met
  • Helps plan and approves external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the food and beverage department
  • Helps plan and approve the organizational chart, staffing and scheduling procedures and job description/specifications for all department staff
  • Manages the current and long-range staffing needs of the department
  • Establishes quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department
  • Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages and food safety and sanitation
  • Researches & develops new products and service standards with analysis of the client experience/cost/profit benefits
  • Develops and implements standardized policies and procedures for food and beverage departments
  • Establishes and monitors effective purchasing and receiving procedures for inventories, products and supplies to ensure proper quantity, quality, value and price for all purchases
  • Reviews new techniques for food preparation and presentation in a manner and variety to maximize member and guest satisfaction while minimizing food costs
  • Consults with the Executive Chef, Catering Director and other applicable club administrators daily to help assure the highest level of member and client satisfaction at minimum cost
  • Greets guests and oversees actual service on a regular basis
  • Ensures development of effective wine lists and bottle/glass wine sales promotion programs
  • Develops on-going professional development and training programs for food production, service and bar production/service personnel
  • Addresses member and guest complaints and advises the General Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken
  • Develops effective ways of promoting club functions in the dining room, lounge and other outlets
  • Assists in planning and implementing procedures for special club events and banquet functions
  • Maintains appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities
  • Monitors employee dress codes per policies and procedures
  • Approves all product invoices before submitting to the accounting department
  • Manages physical inventory verification and provides updated information to management and the accounting department
  • Responsible for the proper accounting and reconciliation of the Point of Sale systems and member/client revenues
  • Produces monthly Rolling Forecast to review and take strategic measures regarding Business Plan
  • Maintains records of special events, house counts, food covers and daily business volumes through the Point of Sale
  • Ensures that an accurate reservation system is in place
  • Audits and approves bi-weekly payroll, including labor allocations, gratuity distribution and incentive programs
  • Completes periodical supply line and asset inventories
  • Represents Vineyards Country Club with integrity and trustworthiness, while persuasively selling the benefits of the club in a professional manner
  • Assures the efficient and timely submission of all required reports
  • Performs other duties as appropriate and directed by management
  • Maintains a 45+ hour work week, with the schedule being determined by the Director of Food & Beverage and approved by the General Manager, based on the business needs, and Club’s activities/events.

Position Summary:

The Wellness Attendant position is a part-time position. With the addition of Personal Training, you have the potential to create full-time hours for yourself. We also want to emphasize that we are a program and Department that is expanding; so there is great potential for future growth.

On the clock (hourly pay), you will serve as a Wellness Attendant in the Fitness Center. During this time, you will assist members with questions or concerns, maintain cleanliness of equipment, stock towels, cups, etc. as needed, complete a variety of projects designed to educate and inform the members, and oversee the overall operations of the Fitness Center.

Off the clock (commission), you will serve as a Personal Trainer, providing 30 minute sessions, 60 minutes sessions, or small group personal training sessions. You will be responsible for assessing your clients regularly, maintaining records on client workout routines, and focusing on the safety and wellbeing of each client.

Whether on or off the clock, you are a member of the Wellness Team and each Team member is expected to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a passion for wellness. As a Team, we communicate and share ideas, training techniques, and philosophies. As a Team, we stay updated on current research and trends. As a Team, we are in service to the members, the Vineyards Country Club, the Wellness Department, as well as each other.


Qualifications:

  • Personal Training Certification is required (ACE, ACSM, NASM, NESTA, NAFC, NCSF, etc.)
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in personal training is required
  • College education in a related field preferred
  • Experience in customer service preferred
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated drive required
  • A true passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle is required
  • Must be outgoing, friendly, and energetic with excellent communication skills
