What People Say About Vineyards Country Club
Vineyards North is an enjoyable course to visit during your next trip to Naples. Outstanding clubhouse, pro shop, practice facilities and staff. Alfter the 2024 transformation, most greens have at least two tiers and significant contour. Most holes have playble bunkers greenside. The back 9 is more intersting than the front as Kip Schulties had more room during the transformation to move the tee boxes which offers different angles to the fairway and greens. While the course is intended for club member play, each green has 1 or 2 dfficult pin positions that could be used for a tournament. There are 8 different tee boxes (including combos) to select from.
2024 renovation by Kip Schulties. Total rebuild, including all new green complexes. Recontoured FWs. TifEagle greens. Bimini bermudagrass on tees, FW, rough. refurbished B’s. New irrigation and drainage. Houses EVERYWHERE. G’s generally with significant contour and most holes have B’s greenside. FW B’s rarely too deep to hit out of. Feels like a new course, but front is much more constrained (by house proximity) than back. Back feels more like an intentional course with holes that are somewhat different. Backstops on many Gs. Clearly intended for country club member play. However, each green has 1 or 2 difficult pin positions that could be used for a tournament. Outstanding clubhouse, pro shop, practice facilities and staff.
The North Course strikes a perfect balance between challenge and natural beauty. The course layout is both thoughtful and visually stunning—every hole feels intentional, with a great mix of risk-reward options, scenic views, and strategic demands. From the very first tee shot over water, you know you’re in for a fun round. The front nine sets the tone with highlights like the island green on Hole 4, the uphill par 3 on Hole 8, and a well-bunkered finish on 9 that demands your attention. The back nine continues to impress, especially with the reimagined par 5 on 14, and the dramatic closing stretch through Holes 17 and 18. Greens were fast and undulating, fairways were in pristine condition, and the bunkering throughout the course is both strategic and visually appealing. It’s clear a lot of care and vision went into the renovation—this isn’t just a facelift, it’s a full transformation into a top-tier golfing experience.
Played Vineyards – North on a breezy sunny spring day. Very nicely done transformation by Kipp Schulties for a FL country club/resort kind of experience. Gently rolling fairways and putting surfaces, mostly straight holes with wide fairways and accessible greens are perfect for the typical country club golfer. This course is aesthically pleasing, easy to get around in under 4 hours (in a cart), but offers little in the way of Challenge or Shot Options for the top golfer. If you get an invite, it’s a nice afternoon on an attractive course, but not much more than that.
