Naples, Fla. (August 01, 2021) – Naples Rehabilitative Services (NRS), a subsidiary of Vineyards Country Club, is currently offering complimentary wellness assessments for members of the public, as well as Vineyards Country Club members and prospective members.

“We are pleased to offer complementary, personalized free wellness assessments to our members, and members of the Naples community at-large,” said Vineyards Country Club General Manager Paul Malonson. “NRS is an outstanding amenity which encourages healthy choices and connections; it perfectly complements our long-standing culture of lifelong wellness in Vineyards Country Club’s Blue Zones program-approved community.”

The wellness assessment includes a 15-minute evaluation of strength, range of motion, balance and gait, as well as a screening for musculoskeletal dysfunction. Each participant will receive a printed copy of screening results to review with their physician and determine the need for therapeutic interventions. Screenings are available Monday through Friday by appointment only.

All screenings are conducted by NRS Clinical Director and Physical Therapist Derek M. Pirro, PT.
A magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Florida, Pirro’s experience includes a broad spectrum of therapy interventions with a centralized focus on orthopedic conditions involving the spine and extremities. Originally from Needham, MA, Pirro moved to Florida more than 30 years ago and has been an active contributor and volunteer for youth sports in the south Fort Myers area. In 2004, he and a business partner established a private practice serving the needs of Estero and the surrounding communities for 14 years.
Upon arrival, clients are asked to wear a facial covering or mask for the duration of the screening. Masks are available and will be provided to any client in need.

All staff members are exceeding sanitation guidelines set forth by local, state, and federal governments, as well as the Centers for Disease Control. Hospital-grade disinfectants, specifically made to kill coronavirus, are used in between appointments on all countertops, tools and common areas, and all staff members wear masks throughout their services.

Naples Rehabilitative Services is located within Vineyards Country Club’s Wellness Center and Spa. Completed in July 2019, the 15,000 square foot facility received the South Florida Hospitality Industry Network (NEWH) 2019 Golden Palm Award for excellence, as well as the Collier Building Industry Association’s 2019 Sand Dollar Award for Interior Design of the Year – Clubhouse.

The Wellness Center and Spa offers a variety of services to promote well-being, such as an expansive fitness center and Life Fitness showroom, n spa and halotherapy salt room and Blue Zones-approved café serving healthy smoothies and menu options.
