Naples, Fla. (April 31, 2020) – Vineyards Country Club has announced that its July 4 golf tournament raised $3,000 to benefit St. Matthew’s House. In addition to cash donations, matching donations and food pantry items, the country club provided more than $6,300 for the agency throughout the months of June and July.
“We are very grateful to the membership and staff of Vineyards Country Club for creating a program to help us meet the increased need for food as this pandemic continues,” said Vann Ellison, St. Matthew’s House President and Chief Executive Officer. “They provided us with financial support and collected and delivered groceries for our weekly distributions to people who are hurting in our community. They are a true example of neighbor helping neighbor in a time of crisis.”
Donations will be used to help St. Matthew’s House continue its 30-plus year mission of providing innovative solutions to fight homelessness, hunger, substance abuse and poverty in Southwest Florida.
“For more than 30 years, the leadership and members of Vineyards Country Club have embraced a mission to give back to our neighbors in need,” said Vineyards Country Club Chief Operating Officer Paul Malonson. “We appreciate all of the generous individuals who have contributed to benefit St. Matthew’s House.”
