Naples, Fla. (May 22, 2020) — In accordance with guidelines set forth in the second phase of Governor DeSantis’ Plan for Florida Recovery, Vineyards Country Club’s dining facilities, salon, spa and amenity areas are now open and available with social distancing measures both indoors and outdoors, limited indoor occupancy of no more than 50% and outdoor seating. The salon and spa, located within the community’s 15,000 square foot Wellness Center, is accepting reservations with limited available hours by appointment.

“In keeping with our recent designation as one of America’s healthiest clubs through the Blue Zones Project®, we are taking every measure possible to ensure an environmentally healthy atmosphere conducive to maintaining lifelong wellness,” said Vineyards Country Club Chief Operating Officer Paul Malonson. “We’ve missed our residents and members over the last two months, and we are excited to share our newly-renovated club with everyone.”

As a gesture of appreciation for Vineyards Country Club’s recent donation of more than 400 meals for its healthcare workers, NCH Healthcare System deployed its Xenex LightStrike™ Germ-Zapping™ Robot to disinfect Vineyards’ entire 70,000-square-foot clubhouse, including all kitchens, dining areas, administrative offices and lobby. The robot uses a commercial grade ultraviolet light to kill germs. According to Xenex, the LightStrike robot manufacturer, the machines destroy the COVID-19 virus in two minutes. The robot provides an additional layer of protection to complement the club’s stringent sanitation guidelines.

All food and beverage staff members are exceeding Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines by wearing protective masks and gloves, cleaning and disinfecting all areas including frequently touched surfaces, especially between usages. Employees are continuously training to reinforce cleaning, sanitation and disinfection procedures. Members are strongly encouraged to call ahead for reservations.

In addition to consistent reinforcement of sanitation initiatives, precautionary measures performed by the club’s management, staff and housekeeping teams include using an ionic air purifier multiple times daily to disinfect surfaces throughout the club, continuous sanitization to avoid cross-contamination, and certifying all service staff in appropriate service procedures as defined by the CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines.

The Wellness Center is open Monday through Saturday, 6:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and 6:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. on Sundays. Cafe V is open Monday through Saturday, 7:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. The salon hours of operation are 8:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Monday through Friday. Naples Rehabilitative Services is available Monday through Friday by appointment. Upon arrival, guests are asked to wait at the front doors for a staff member to allow entry. Due to the close proximity of these services, guests are asked to wear a facial covering or mask worn over the nose for the duration of the appointment. Masks are available and will be provided to any guests in need.

All Wellness Center and related staff members are exceeding sanitation guidelines set forth by state and local governments, as well as the CDC. Hospital-grade disinfectants, specifically made to kill the Coronavirus, are used in between appointments on all countertops, tools and common areas, and all staff members wear gloves and masks throughout their services.
