Naples, Fla. (January 12, 2021) – Vineyards Country Club today announced that Christopher Olson has been promoted to the position of chef de cuisine.
In this position, Olson is responsible for all aspects of the kitchen such as menu plans, operations, recipes, finances, portion and inventory control, food quality, and employee supervision. In addition to providing leadership training and hands-on management of the kitchen staff, he oversees executing the food in the main kitchen, driving menu design and kitchen creativity, and growing and developing the product and profitability of the food service program. Olson is responsible for providing a consistent product and experience, achieving revenue targets and managing costs, as well as ensuring all staff under direct supervision are focused and demonstrating a guest-centric attitude and culture.
A Naples native, Olson joined Vineyards Country Club in 2019 after serving as sous chef at a fine dining restaurant within a renowned local resort for more than five years. His culinary experience includes tenure with Marriott Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, Naples and several fine dining establishments throughout Florida and Massachusetts.
